Leading Lady Lovetta Coleman

 

Leading Lady Lovetta Coleman is a native of Denton, Maryland and the youngest of 2 children born to the late Goodie Reese Mason and Mary Helen Mason.   She attended North Caroline High School and graduated in 1978.

With a desire to help people, Leading Lady Lovetta went on to further her education at Norfolk State College, which is now Norfolk State University majoring in Social Work.  During the course of working on her degree, Leading Lady Lovetta pledged Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Delta Epsilon Chapter.  In 1981 she was voted Ms. AKA Queen of the Delta Epsilon Chapter which involved being a part of the homecoming festivities.

After completing her education, Leading Lady Lovetta began her employment with Head Start.  In 1986 she became employed with the State of Delaware in which she remains after 25 years of service.  She has worked in various departments including the Division of Child Protective Services where she worked in the treatment phase involving abused children.  She later went on to work in an enhanced Medicaid Program until it was contracted to the private sector.  Leading Lady Lovetta Coleman is currently a Senior Social Worker with the Division of Aging and Adults with Physical Disabilities managing the care and overall well being of senior citizens and the physical disabled.

Leading Lady Coleman has always been active in the church, starting as a young child.  She is currently the overseer of the Dance and Women’s Ministries of Greater New Hope Church and Ministries.  Leading Lady Coleman is a believer that all things are possible because of our creator.  Her favorite scripture is,  “ I can do all things through Christ who gives me the strength.” Philippians 4: 13

Leading Lady Lovetta Coleman is happily married to Bishop Dane Andre’ Coleman.  She is the loving mother of 3 daughters, Dominique Williams, Courtney Coleman and Chelsey Bledsoe.   The Lord has blessed her to have two son-in-laws; Aaron Williams, Denzel Bledsoe, and five grandchildren; Arionne Williams, Aaron Williams, Adonis Williams, Jacob Billups and Rayla Bledsoe.
